sizes and materials
What are the sizes? What does the letter and number mean?
When ordering, the drop down button has the sizes with a number next to it. The sizes are listed below. The number next to is is the the width of webbing.
Materials used are heavy duty webbing, contoured buckle, and welded D-Ring.

Cat collars are 3/8" width wide webbing, with neck length of 7-11". The buckle is contoured break away.

Dog collars:
Extra Small (XS) in 5/8" width : 8-12" neck length
Small (S) in either 3/4" or 1" width : 10-14" neck length
Medium (M) in either 3/4" or 1" width : 12-18" neck length
Large (L) in either 1" or 1.5" width : 16-24" neck length
Extra Large (XL) in 1.5" width : 18" - 28" neck length

When can I expect my order?
I hand make every item, please allow approximately 5 to 7 business days before shipping. I ship all of our packages via USPS First Class Mail with tracking, so please allow an additional 3-5 days for shipping based on location. If for any reason we see that it may take longer, we will contact you as soon as possible via email provided when you placed your order.
Exchange & Return Policies:
I want you to LOVE your product! If you are unsatisfied with your product within 20 days of receiving it (based on tracking delivered date), ship the product(s) back and you’ll receive your refund!
What does it mean to be unsatisfied? If the product is not what you expected, changed mind, don't like it in person, it didn't work out, or whatever the reason may be ... you can return it! -- if you received the item as a gift, you will receive store credit.

Custom orders are not refundable, unless the product is defective.

If there is a product defect, please contact me as soon as possible (within 20 days of receiving it)!
For exchanges/returns: customer is responsible for shipping costs.
Cancel my order:
You must contact within 24 hours of your order. I will do everything I can to accommodate your request.
If you cancel an order that used a promotion or special deal, you may not be eligible to receive that promotion or discount again.
Why are some fabrics not for some sizes or cat collars?
Due to the size of the designs and/or words, it may not or show correctly on smaller width webbings.
Teams collars:
The Curious Pets is not associated or affiliated with any teams, cities, etc. The collars you are purchasing are from The Curious Pets.
Sales Tax:
Only for Kansas residents. Tax percentage is located in the cart link.
Payment Options:
The Curious Pets currently uses Paypal as payment processing. It is not necessary to signup for paypal or use your paypal account, simply skip the sign in process to proceed to checkout.

We do not share your information to anyone. Any information collected is solely for processing orders.

Wash / Care:
All collars have been lightly sprayed with Scotchgard twice to help keep the fabrics looking bright!
All collars and leashes are machine washable (cold water). It is recommended to hand wash the collars and leashes. Do NOT dry in dryer.
All flowers and bow ties are spot clean only.
Responsible Use:
The Curious Pets is not responsible for any excessive pulling or chewing of the collar by your dog. It is the responsibility of the pet owner to determine the appropriate use, type, and fit of the collar for their pet. We cannot be held responsible for injury as a result of improper use of poorly fitted collars. Please measure your pet properly and discontinue using collars that show signs of wear and/or weakness.
It is highly recommended to remove a martingale collar anytime your pet is unattended. Martingale collars are intended for walking purposes only and while supervised by the pet owner.
Fit:
All dogs are different and vary in their size.
Here is a general guideline to fit your dog appropriately for a dog collar. For a proper fit, measure your dog's neck with a cloth seamstress' tape measure or use a yarn long enough and then measure on a rigid ruler.

Take a measurement a few inches down from his head and then add an inch for small dogs or two inches for medium and large dogs.

Pull the tape snug but not tight.

Allow sufficient room to slip two fingers between the collar and the dog's neck.

When the collar is on his neck it should allow you to slide two fingers under a properly fitting collar and your dog's neck. If there's extra room, you need a smaller size. If both fingers don't fit, the collar is too small.

Shipping information:
The Curious Pets ship all of our packages via USPS First Class Mail with tracking. Delivery generally takes 1–4 days average to anywhere in the United States. Upon shipment, you will receive an email with the tracking number.
Shipping Costs:
Shipping is free when you make a total purchase of $50 or more (after sale/discount) for all U.S. orders!
Purchases Outside of the US:
Currently I have shipping estimated for Canada and US. If you are not in Canada, please contact me for an accurate shipping price.
Purchases over $75, shipping is a flat rate of $12.00 (US Dollar) to Canada.
